Blight arrived at the plot after all the rain in June and then it suddenly
turned warm.
I took the pre-emptive step of chopping the tops off yesterday and digging ting them when I found time today.
These were kestrel that went in fairly late into the new plot when I got it in mid April.
There were quite a few tubers but a lot could have done with another couple of weeks growth but I still got 42 pound out of 3 x 4m rows.

Again, a few weeks later than the last few years, I spotted these beans
hiding at the bottom of the somewhat straggly runners. Not enough for a feed yet
but enough to make me smile.
Watching the opening Olympic football game with marstons double drop and some
radish seed pods.
