yay!

that works well! i'm pleased with the way it looks. Next up is to test a video - now this was taken on my ipod, but when i've transferred it to the computer, it plays back quite jerkily, so if this doesn't work I'll have to find another solution. (perhaps find a way of uploading to youtube & than posting links.)
If anyone's got any suggestions that circumvent the problem of the file being too big to email from the Ipod, please suggest.

I had a good day sticking stuff in the ground (hence the sunburn on my exposed neck), but when I stood back & admired, it seemed as if I'd just been planting lettuce - In July, we will be mainly eating Iceberg & Cos. Though I'm really expecting the lettuce to be the first casualty to the little slimy slugs. If I was a wartime general, I'd be viewing the lettuce as my collateral damage.

One of the jobs I did yesterday was to put some spare tomato plants in outside!!  yes, outside!! - only because the greenhouse is already bulging with seedlings. I haven't put tomatoes outside before because of the forecast disaster that everyone talks about from blight. This is something I expect to come back to over Summer - the countdown from 04/06 to the day when the first blight spot appears. The race is on.

The fleece is just protection from the wind (did I mention that it's windy on our corner?), not an expected prevention from blight.

I had my head down in the strawberries & kept getting distracted by a scratching sound. I kept looking up to see if I could see what was making the noise. I had a feeling that it was one of the resident mice, taking a break from tunnelling under the raspberry plants, to tease me by rearranging the pots or something, but I couldn't see anything. After about 15 minutes of  perplection (new word?) I eventually spotted a pair of wasps munching on an old crate  - bearing in mind that I was at least 10 foot away, they were chewing pretty loud - if I was making the same amount of noise, I'd have been sent from the table.
