I've also got some perennial sweet peas in the garden this year; but they don't smell! what's all that about? They're good climbers (about 7 foot to date) but they just don't do the same thing to you that a sweet pea does.

the sweet smell of summer
In my very humble opinion & limited knowledge of flowers, nothing can compare to walking into a room where there is a vase of sweet peas. Heady, fresh & gorgeous. It's nature's Red Bull.
I've also got some perennial sweet peas in the garden this year; but they don't smell! what's all that about? They're good climbers (about 7 foot to date) but they just don't do the same thing to you that a sweet pea does.
