This could possibly be the last courgette for this year - picked on 01/10.
Not a bad length for the season, but certainly not a prolific one for volume. Each plant probably yielded no more than 10 fruits; we had courgettes in the fridge all Summer, but not in numbers that we had in previous years.
The beans in the picture are probably the last of them as well.
The tomatoes, though, are coming thick and fast.
Hebe and I had a tasty lunch at the weekend - Leek frittata - home grown leeks, potatoes, peppers & chillies. I fried off the jalapenoes and was surprised by the fact that they lost an awful lot of their fire; perhaps it would be better to chop them in raw - I'll try next time.
