Good Intentions

A New Year, filled with good intent; hence a quick trip to the plot this afternoon - main jobs were :
  • pick up plant pots that have been blown to all corners.
  • pull weeds out of cold frame.
  • avoid flooded paths.
  • put strawberry plants in cold frame in anticipation of worse weather to come.
Having not done anything of substance on the plot since the start of November, it felt as though it was all new; as if I was taking on somebody else's scruffy & unkempt plot. - positively energising and encouragement enough to convince me that it's time to get started.

The rabbit skeleton that I found also convinced me that I should be getting on with the new fence.

So the plot looks like this on 01/01/13:

Like everyone else, I'm hoping for a good year, a sunny year, a productive year.

Another reason to go down today was to plant the Scots Pine seeds we were given by Lulu:

Christmas tree self-sufficiency in a mere 5 years.
