a feel-good meal

It occurred to me last night, whilst eating my tea, that I was eating a meal that was virtually food-mile free. 
The sausages were locally made, from a local pig & delivered on foot, the potatoes, beans & even the onions in the gravy were grown on the plot. 
The only 'imported' ingredients were the spoonful of bisto powder in the gravy & the butter in the mash.
I finished my tea with a self-satisfied feeling of warmth.
It was tasty too.
